If you know a little bit about Article Marketing, you're aware that the benefits are plentiful and the cost is low (in fact, you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to, a sliding scale). But you may also know that writing 2 articles a week (the standard rate) can really put a kink in your busy schedule.
There are, however, several ways of making the whole process of article writing less time-consuming---that is, without hiring a professional to do it for you. One of them is to think less.
I'll explain…
Both professional and amateur writers tend to waste time thinking and rethinking and examining each detail when they sit down to write, a common hazard among intelligent people---especially the creative and/or analytical ones. There's this dialogue going on in their heads that questions everything:
"Maybe I should write on this topic instead…"
"Actually that wouldn't work."
"Is writing something I should be doing?"
"Yes it is."
"Maybe not."
"Should I go for a walk instead?"
"What if this article doesn't turn out the way I wanted it to?"
"Should I get real job?"
By the time you get one word on the page 20 minutes have passed. This dialogue inside of our heads steals a lot of valuable time away from us.
(Disclaimer: Inner dialogue is not necessarily a bad thing. Everybody does it. It would actually be weird if someone always had a silent mind.)
Often we question ourselves so much that this inner dialogue takes us on a big circle---kind of like getting lost in the woods---and we find ourselves right back where we started having made no forward progress at all. Or we wait until that brilliant idea slaps us in the face. Sometimes we talk ourselves out of the project all together.
What to do about it: Once you recognize this inner dialogue you eliminate it and actually write words---taking a just-do-it approach. It's a matter of focusing on getting words on the paper instead of worrying about whether the idea is a good one or not.
It's almost inevitable that you will at some point trail off again. As soon as you catch yourself slipping away stop and refocus. At the same time don't get upset. Be thankful that you were able to catch yourself.
People think that it takes too much time to write. But in reality it doesn't take too much time to do the actual writing. It just takes a lot of time to get started if you let that inner dialogue dominate your brain.
You'd be amazed at how quickly you can bang out a 400 word article.
