Could You Profit From Social Business

What is social business? It is really the very old idea of connecting with people you know to do business. This is not a new concept. It is really quite ancient. However, these days, large websites are helping people expand their range of contacts. These website companies are taking social business to a whole new level.

These days, many websites have popped up that connect people who are interested in making deals this way. These folks want to bypass the conventional institutions and make deals on their own. Instead of just relying upon close friends or family, these websites allow you to expand your network across the nation or the whole world!

Have you seen some of the sites that promote this new business idea? I can think of three major examples, though I am eager to see what new ideas will crop up next.

Peer to peer loans have begun to go mainstream. Websites list people who need funding. The funders are free to decide which loans they would like to fund. This sytem can allow the borrowers to get their financing at a lower interest rate than they would get from a large financial company. The lenders may also get a lot better returns on their money than if they just invested it with one of those big financial companies.

The peer to peer lending website still serves as a middle man, and they do provide some services. But they limit their take to much lower levels than the profit needed by a big bank or credit card company. The lower interest rates for borrowers, and the higher returns for investors, has made these lending sites quite popular. There is, of course, always risk. Funders believe that they would rather trust their own judgement when they make a loan. Statistics have proven that they can do very well.

Social business has even entered the vehicle rental market. Folks with cars can put up a lending schedule. Other people can borrow vehicles when they need them. Of course, the borrower pays for the loan at a third party site. The website takes a cut for their service, and also to provide car sharing car insurance. Some vehicle owners make quite a bit of money by letting others borrow their cars when they do not need them.

Are you tired of paying hundreds of dollars for a hotel room when you just need a place to sleep? There are also peer to peer sites that help people find temporary living arrangements when they are away from home.

Social business sites are a fairly new idea though. They are growing in popularity, and they are getting a lot of attention. I am certain that the social business idea will expand in the future.
