The Options You Have For An IPod

The way that we listen to music has dramatically changed over the last decade. The invention of the iPod quickly and easily moved things like walkmans and Discmans to the back of the shelves. The iPods are much easier to use, allow you to carry a whole lot more music around in your shirt pocket and they are a great deal smaller than the devices that we used to use. However, like every other kind of electronic, you sometimes find yourself in need of an iTouch repair. You might also find yourself in need of iPod parts to fix a problem you are having. If you are having problems with your iPod, you will have to determine whether your best option is to fix it or if it will be better in the long run for you to just get a new one. This article is focused on the different options you have when you want a new iPod.

The iPod shuffle is the smallest iPod available. This applies to both its size and the storage capacity that it has. This also makes it the least expensive of all of your options. One of the most common uses for the iPod shuffle is to put a lot of up tempo music on it and use it as a workout tape. This is considered the "entry level item" for people who are new to the iPod world.

The next device in line is the iPod Nano. This unit is also relatively small, but it still has the ability to store a great deal more music on it. Music lovers really like the Nano because of the high storage capacity that it has. It is a mid-range model and is ideal for people who love their music, but do not want to get the higher end electronics.

The iPod Classic is the next item in the line. This was originally released way back in 2001. The amount of music that it can store is substantially higher. In fact, you can store between 80 GB and 160 GB of music on just this device. Over the last decade, there have been new Classic models released every few years. The basics of the system remain the same; however the features get bigger and better with each new release. Each new release is called a new "generation". Before you buy a classic iPod, make sure that you are aware of which generation you are buying. That will help you to know how old the device is as well as knowing what features you can expect to find on it.

The newest entry into the iPod line is called the iPod Touch. This device is considered the top of the line, so of course it is also more expensive than all of the others. It is a comprehensive media player and even has Wi-Fi capabilities. The touch screen that the device has makes it a favorite of anyone who likes to have the latest and greatest technology that is available.
