Located on famed Route 66 in the county of Mohave, Arizona, Kingman is a thriving city of around 28,000 people. If you add in the surrounding communities of Golden Valley and Butler, the population count of the area rises to an impressive 66,000. Located in the Northwestern corner of the state of Arizona, Mohave County includes parts of the Grand Canyon National Park, the Grand Canyon National Monument, a Wildlife Refuge, the Kaibab National Forest, and several recreation areas. Also close by are the cities of Laughlin and Las Vegas, Nevada and many old west ghost towns.

Golden Valley Land for Sale

Golden Valley, Arizona is a small community that relies on nearby Kingman and Bullhead City for its economic support. Separated from Kingman from a mountain range, this valley is renowned for the rare occurrence of wild poppies that appear on the desert floor about once every 25 years. If you are looking for Arizona property for sale, Mohave County is a good bet. It's close to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, and has a population density of about 15 people per square mile. It was one of the original Arizona counties and host 3 Indian Reservations, Fort Mojave, Hualapai, and Kaibab.

If you are looking for AZ property for sale in general, Mohave County deserves a good look. It features beautiful landscapes and quiet neighborhoods close to the fun and amenities of larger cities. The largest cities in Mohave County are Lake Havasu City and Bullhead City, which includes the Mohave Valley area. There are many tourist attractions in and around the county, including The London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, the Grand Canyon National Monument and park, and many ghost towns left over from the mining days of the old west.

The County of Mohave is located between the Colorado River and the Mohave Desert, giving the area closer to the River a somewhat colder winter than the rest of the county. Snow is known to fall in the area close to the Colorado River, although it is rare, and summertime temperatures generally hover around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, a bit lower than the rest of the desert state. Combined with the hiking and camping opportunities in and around the National Forests and the Grand Canyon, as well as its proximity to the city of Las Vegas, Mohave County is an attractive area to find Arizona land for sale, cheap.
