With the dawn of technology that even our ancestors haven't predicted; we see our lives become more comfortable and even better. Likewise with how we communicate, technology influenced how we communicate with others. From telephones, walky talkies, to radio phones, to the simplest of all mobile phones; it has evolved to these gadgets we have now.
We have mobile phones with cameras, videos, mp3s, etc. But much more than those little extras, we have touch screens, wifi on our phones, PDA phones and of course- the smart phones. Why are they called smart phones? Since they can perform most of the things that a computer can. If you plan to buy a smart phone, then here is your guide.
1. Windows 7 Mobile.
Developed of course by Microsoft, the Windows phone has thus first begun as a handheld pocket PC device, similar to Ipads. Eventually the mobile phone service were then added to the list. The Windows 7 program is the operating system for phones like these. They have developed their own touch interface that you can use with your fingers or a stylus. You can browse the net, read e-books, type and make documents with this. It's really like a pocket PC but less bulkier than the usual.
2. IOS- Apple iPhone.
When iPhones were first released in the market, everyone went gaga over it and wanted one. Apple's iPhones has gradually evolved and are continually evolving, from just the touch, talk and text hype. From the basic mobile phone use, they have developed different applications even to the most needed computer programs. They have a better touch-interface, which is an added functionality and comfort of the phone.
3. Symbian.
The Symbian operating system is commonly seen in Nokia phones, but you can also see this OS in the core of other mobile phones. This has got to be the most simple OS, but so far many manufacturers have developed Symbianed differently. Since the OS can perform different functions at the same time even with it's simplicity, it has got to be the most user-friendly smartphone OS. Well, just by judging on handsets, Nokia has to be the most user friendly phone there is. Symbian has empowered other mobile manufacturers to use their operating system to power the simplest of mobile phones to the most recent models.
4. BlackBerry.
The OS developed by RIM for the BlackBerry range, known more for it's business services. They are flexible in terms of you having to communicate with your contacts. You might say that the BlackBerry is the smartphone for businessmen; but they wanted to get it further than that. They made their OS to support a friendly touch-interface and has already a growing application store for their users.
5. The Android.
This is the current buzz for the smart phones. Developed by none other than Google, this OS provides a service similar to that of the iPhone; they have changed the way they do the touch-interface, they have far improved on their messaging, they have included comprehensive navigation and media connection. They have a fast growing number of apps in their store..
Since people always wanted to be in, be at the latest, technology has made sure that they do. We used to think of mobile phones just for texting and calling- but it has gone way beyond that. We know have the smart phones, which is like a hand held computer. Choose the best smartphone that will suite you and your needs.
