Trials & Tribulations Of A Female Solopreneur

Copyright (c) 2012 Freefall International

I turn 10 years of age on the 22nd of July 2012. 10 years ago on the 22nd of July 2002 I embarked on going out on my own and had I have known the journey was going to be what it has been, would I do it all again? - WITHOUT A DOUBT! Such a milestone achievement!

On Facebook the other day I read the following:-

1. If Howard Schultz gave up after being turned down 242 times there would be no Starbucks

2. If Walt Disney quit too soon after his theme park concept was trashed 302 times there would be no Disneyland

3. If JK Rowling stopped after being turned down by multiple publishers for years there would be no Harry Potter

One thing is for sure: If you give up too soon, you'll never know what you'll be missing - keep going and never quit! Loved it and could relate!

"The hard way builds solidly a foundation of confidence that cannot be swept away." Colonel Sanders

So I thought I would share 20 of my top leadership learning's over the past decade - to be honest I could fill a book with a 1000, but will refine to the key learnings that I think you may benefit from: NB I have taken the liberty to write a longer BLOG today in acknowledgement of what I have achieved:-

1. Love is all there is, yes even in the context of business

A. You have to love what you do with a passion that is pulpable and then you will never view what you do as 'work'

2. I called myself a Legacy Coach when I first started out, how bold was that 10 years ago!

A. Never be afraid to claim a space no one else has claimed

3. Money does not define your success. Money can never measure your worth. Money can be your ally or your enemy, you get to chose

A. Never allow money to stop you in your endeavors, if you continue to take action, and have an unwaivering belief in your dream, the money will always come

4. Many may betray you on your journey but as long as you have your faith you have everything

A. Learn from those teachers on your path regardless for you will be the one who always wins if your intentions are always clean

5. I rebranded 3 times in 10 years and never looked back

A. Never be afraid to reposition yourself in the marketplace as you evolve

6. I went down to NO revenue, 3 times in 10 years each and every time I increased my hourly rate and refilled quota everytime AND am about to do it again

A. Always honor your worth, if you don't who will! Have no fear around revenue fluctuations, it can be an opportunity for you to reinvent yourself

7. I realized after 7 years that I was a pioneer and after 10 years that I was a leading thoughtleader in an area no one is yet to venture

A. You need to own who you are and who you are becoming. Claim the space as your own and honor what you are being called to create

8. You need to allow people to support you if you are going to win your game - in love and in business

A. Allow people to contribute to you - everyday, ask for help, allow contribution and make requests of people - the more you display to the universe that you deserve the more the universe will provide

9. All the pieces on the chess board need to be in the right position before they can go 'check mate'.

A. Have patience, everything will transpire at the right place at the right time, as is meant - the harvest will come almost as a reward for having had patience along the way, but never doubt that its coming!

10. Always help your so called competitors

A. The art of co-opetition, where we all support each other to win our respective games is the ultimate in 'paying it forward'. There is no time for insecurity in the true art of entrepreneurship

11. Learn to let go and allow the unknown to support you

A. No faith in business is a hard road to travel. Faith is the ultimate success formula. Control is your nemesis in business

12. I expanded into new business ventures 5 times and self trained myself in 6 modalities over 10 years

A. Whether you are formally trained or not has nothing to do with your ability to achieve what you set out to achieve. Beliefs rule the outcome on any venture. Have no fear stepping out and embarking on new frontiers if this is what you are being called to do

13. I channeled a 20 year Vision in 10 minutes which is bigger than Ben Hur in year 9 and published it in my first book

A. Be bold and stand for what you believe in. When you access your co-create ability you become unstoppable. Find your voice and through voicing your opinion others will hear you and support your endeavors

14. Trust your intuition as the most powerful muscle you have

A. You will never be led wrong if you listen to your intuitive voice

15. You may gain knowledge, you may gain accolades, you may gain prestige and acknowledgements for what you achieve

A. But never stop being the student

16. As a leader you need to find your own leadership style and be true to that style. Own your own 'mana' for it is unique to you and only you - if you are true to this people will follow you to the ends of the earth

A. A leaders biggest lesson is the 'ability to let go' - trust more in the unknown world that the known world, it will serve you well

17. When adversity strikes, and it will, view it as a gift for the universe is trying to get your attention

A. Go looking to be confronted, go looking to be resistant, go looking to be uncomfortable - this I believe is the art of a true transformation agent

18. As you gain profile, as you become more prominent not everyone will like you

A. Love them anyway - your role as a leader is to focus everything that you say, do, think, be on what forwards your game. You do not have time to allow others opinion of you to sway you from your game!

19. Learn to STOP!

A. For those of us 'busy' people there is as much reward in achieving the unachievable as there is in STOPPING and allowing our achievements to be acknowledged

20. Of all the quadrants that are important to address as a leader it is important for that leader to be supported emotionally

A. A Leader who is loved by someone personally in a private relationship to achieve what they are destined to do on this planet is the ultimate gift from source

I often get acknowledged for what I have achieved and I am present to realizing that I have not even started yet! I have just been warming up!

Throughout my sharing I honor my ability to speak powerfully about spirituality, which in mainstream business today is a 'foreign word'. Conscious leadership in the 21st century is based on evolving spiritually - If you listen to people that they cannot handle a conversation they won't, however if you listen to people that they can handle a conversation they always do. So to whomever is reading this article today, I honor your ability to embrace the unknown realm with no resistance. Afterall, spirituality is just that, 'the unknown realm of consciousness' which is limitless by design.

Happy Anniversary to me!
