Race And Get Dyed At The Color Run

People get involved in the Color Run each year because they are looking for something other than a normal race. More and more people can participate in this race since it takes place in more than 25 locations throughout the US. This race is designed to brighten a runner's day, and in the process a local charity is benefitted. People are able to volunteer to work at the event or they can run in the race. No matter how a person decides to take part in the event, they are sure to have a colorful day.

People will come to the occasion on race day wearing basic white shirts and big smiles on their faces. The runners will run as fast as they can as they take off from the starting line. In each section, runners are going to have colors thrown on them, and they shouldn't expect to make it to the end of the race with white shirts. Purple, blue, green, pink, and yellow colored corn starch will be thrown at all of the racers to brighten up their dull white shirts. Since there is no way to regulate where the corn starch will land, it is recommended that runners wear sunglasses or other protective eyewear.

People who are unable to participate in the Color Run as a racer can be involved as a volunteer. After all, the racers will need a person to get all of that color on them. As the racers run by, volunteers have the opportunity to throw handfuls of colored corn starch at them. Not only is it enjoyable, but it is a great way to get rid of the aggravation of not being able to race. Volunteers will get a special t-shirt for participating, but they will not be compensated for the work that they do. A local charity will receive a part of the earnings from the racer registration for the event.

Once racers have completed the 5K run and crossed the finish line, they will continue to bombard one other with colored corn starch in celebration. Food and music will also be offered at the finish line, so people who come out will get to make an entire day of the event. You don't have to be involved in the race or volunteer to go to the celebration. The function is available for everyone to attend.

Being a part of the Color Run is an interesting experience, and it is certain to brighten up a person's day. With more than 25 different cities to choose from, there is sure to be one in your area. You can get rainbow tinted from top to bottom, and when you're done you can relax with the other racers while enjoying great food and awesome music.
