Lifestyle Management and Modern Day Life

We all face times when we have to much to do and not enough time in which to do it; even the best laid plans can go awry. So how do you actually go about and make better use of your time and spend it doing what you want to do rather than what you have to do. Well you can either be super organised and efficent or you can hire the skills of a recent and emerging trend known as a lifestyle manager.

The term 'lifestyle manager' is also new so you may not be familiar with this; think of it as a personal concierge, assistant, an extra pair of hands when you need them all rolled into one. Lifestyle Management is an emerging trend that started by in the USA about 15 years ago. Like most things this trend caught on and spread to Europe, however it is still in its infancy and only being used by the High New Worth (HNW) Individuals and top end Hotel chains.

Asia, on the other hand though has taken onboard this service and concept wholeheartedly. Most hotel chains now automatically have this as part of their service. It is expected that this service trend will soon spread to Europe and rather it being a service for the elite, it will slosly become a service for any indivudal who leads a busy life and needs ad hoc help.

Using or requesting the services of a Lifestyle Manager is a fairly straightforward process. There are numerous companies offering these services: they can be used on a monthly basis or as and when you need them. Understanding when you can call on them though is often the most difficult task as the range of services and contacts that they have can vary and is very broad. Typically though if you were to use a lifestyle manager you would expect them to be able to provide help in the following areas:

- bookings and entertainment researching restaurant, shows and making bookings for some of the best seats at events

- lifestyle management - finding doctors, dentist, handymen hairdressers making appointments on your behalf

- travel research and destination management

- events and anything else that you would need help in the home with

Above all your lifestyle manager should be well connected and have all these contacts to hand, more importantly these contacts are trusted, good value and deliver an excellent service. The advantage here of using a lifestyle manager to do this instead of you is the time it saves you to find the equivalent service, when you can use this time to do something you want to do rather than you have to do. When using the service this way, it can be a very cost efficent and effective way of using your time.
