Business Owners! 6 Steps To Building A Better Business And Finding Your Common Denominator

Owing a business is risky if you really don't have an idea of where you're going with it. If I were to ask you, "What is your company's common denominator?" for instance, what might your answer be?

Let's picture that image: You on top, leading your business. . .a line drawn under you . . .

You

____

?

What's below the line?

As Brad Sugars, founder of ActionCOACH states, "You have to know where you're going to get there." Only a fraction of business owners have calculated an actual plan on how they will get from point A to point B. So, let's do some math, shall we, and see if we can't discover that common denominator that will lead to your success.

If we turn your business into an equation, it might look like this:

The equation: X divided by Y equals Z or (X/Y=Z)

Breaking it down further:

X= your company's potential

Y=hard work

Your company's potential/hard work = Z

Z=success

Therefore: Your company's potential/hard work = success

So, does that mean "hard work" is the common denominator? "

"I already work hard," you might be shouting about now. And it's true. You might very well be working hard, but if you're not getting where you want to go or need to be, then what? Relax. That problem is solvable as well.

The fact is, I believe in working hard, but more than that, I believe in working "smart". To reach success, you have to have systems in place to make success possible. Let's revisit the original equation but add an important common denominator:

You
____

Effective Business Systems

Easier said than done, right? But what if I shared 6 specific steps you can take to guarantee your success? It's the safety net, if you will,for business owners who truly want to succeed. In his book, The Business Coach, Brad Sugars defines these 6 essential steps as:

1) Mastery. Mastery is the art of growing one's business by delivering profitability.

2) Niche. Niche is all about finding your uniqueness!

3) Leverage. Leverage is all about those all-important systems that need to be in place to get your business engine purring.

4) Team. Team can be turned into an acronym: Together Everyone Achieves More. Isn't that a great way to look at team?

5) Synergy. Synergy relates to challenges and damage control.

6) Results.Results cannot be reached without knowing what your goals are.

But that's a lot to absorb let alone put into place by oneself.

Imagine a sports team trying to figure out strategies without a coach guiding them? Chaos, right? Well, your business IS your team. They're looking to you to guide them, but who's guiding you?

Implementing the processes above involves putting effective systems in place. But sometimes even the best-intentioned systems can be missing something important. Let's revisit the previous equation, but add one key element:

x/y=z

x = your business's potential

y = hard work guided by a business coach

z= instant measurable success

See the difference?

All you had to do initially was add the guidance of a business coach to help you reach instant, measurable results. Bottom line? In life, you gotta know where you're going before you can get there. You wouldn't build a house without a plan. The same is true in business.

Do the math. Add a business coach. Subtract the stress. Multiply the profits. Divide your time the way YOU want to divide it.

So, what's your company's common denominator? If you concluded "Instant Measurable Success," you have the answer and WE have the functions and tools necessary to make your success possible.
