Bring Home The Big Bucks Through Expired Listings

So many people have entered the housing business to try to discover a good way to make great money, and too many of them are overlooking one of the best ways: prospecting every expired listing you come across. Even though some real estate companies pay no attention to this method altogether, others have made it the core of their whole business. If you learn how to do it and do it right, you could focus on little more than expired listings and end up making more money than you've ever made with all your other strategies combined. Anyone who is eager to boost their income in the housing business ought to pay close attention to the following information and try putting it to the test.

The initial thing many people notice about these listings is how easy they are to locate each day. You could end up with several new listings to work with every single day, so you will always have plenty of work to do, from calling all your new leads to making a ton of new appointments. The most cunning agents have determined that there is at least one day each month where a large portion of these leads come in all at once and have started changing up their schedules to accommodate this massive influx of new business.

One reason these listings work out so great for many agents is because they were already on the market and are already in the mind to sell. These clients, at least at one point in time, wanted nothing more than to be able to sell their homes and move away, so you most likely won't have to do anything more than offer to get it over with for them.

For the ones who have not been out of circulation for a while, you may find that they were actually still trying to find a new agent to work with once you came along. When a person's home does not sell, they will often blame the agent that they were working with, which means that they would be far more willing to go with a completely new agent instead of going back to the one they believe failed them.

The ideal route to take with an expired listing is to begin calling to the client as soon as you discover them and stay in contact with them until they either accept your offer or flat out refuse you. As long as you can remain positive and keep the client motivated, you should have little trouble getting that house back on the market and a pile of money headed to your bank account.
