House buyers in Lancashire have welcomed the arrival of Redrow's prestigious new development in sought-after Lytham, where five properties have already been sold off plan. The homes at Lytham Quays are from the housebuilder's popular New Heritage Collection range, which blends traditional craftsmanship and Arts & Crafts period features with designs for modern living. The development's show homes are yet to open, but Redrow says all the properties incorporate a range of attractive traditional design features such as dropped eaves, projecting plinths, and timber or tiled canopies over the doors and windows - while internally, the open-plan layouts place beautiful, well-equipped kitchens right at the heart of the home.
"We knew from the size of our database of people who had expressed an interest in the homes at Lytham Quays that there was a demand for traditional-looking, quality-built family homes in this part of Lancashire; and we have been delighted with the response," says Julie Harper, area sales manager for Redrow Homes in Lancashire. "The fact that we've already secured five 'off-plan' sales before we've even opened a show home is testament to our reputation for building homes that people really want to live in. We're also working with several other potential purchasers who want to make a move to a brand new home. We're confident that the development will echo the success we have seen across the region with our New Heritage Collection."
The location
Just a few years ago, the stylish seaside resort of Lytham was voted the third best small town in the world to live in - and with the thriving city of Preston just ten miles inland, and all the entertainment of Blackpool nine miles to the north, it has a great deal to offer professionals, families and commuters in the North West. Trendy Lytham Quays itself is a coastal community that's full of fashionable cafés and restaurants, and is surrounded by nature, with these new homes in Lancashire offering views across the wildlife-rich reed beds and marshes of the Ribble Estuary.
Purchase assistance schemes
The development features four-bedroom traditional-looking family homes, currently priced from £279,995. The Government-backed NewBuy initiative now makes it possible to secure 95% mortgages on homes of up to £500,000 at Lytham Quays, which promises to further boost the demand for properties there. Redrow also offers help for existing property owners with a home to sell via the Mastermove scheme. This service appoints a trusted local estate agent to market and sell the customer's own home, and even pays the fees - leaving the customer free to go ahead with the purchase of their new Redrow home at Lytham Quays.
Larger homes for buyers with a bigger budget
For house buyers hunting for a larger, more luxurious new home, Lytham Quays also offers some high-specification, bespoke five-bedroom villas priced from £1.24 million. With tranquil views over the estuary, 'The Villas' at Lytham Quays boast top-notch interiors including solid oak flooring, luxurious extras such as mood lighting and built-in media systems, and grand hallways and staircases that make an impact as soon as you enter the property. The bedrooms either have walk-in wardrobes or fitted wardrobes, and some of the Ideal Standard designer bathrooms will include wet rooms.
