Time flies so quickly! Next thing you know, its January again! For most of us this is the time of the year we take stock of our progress or lack thereof in our lives, career, and/or business. Year after year, do you find yourself in a job or business you hate or just feeling like you are meant to do so much more than your current career path? You are not the only one! I have felt that way many times. Sometimes we think that doing something we love is a far fetch idea and that we have to be real and accept that that's where we are and that is not going to change.
Some of us are so desperate that we decide to start a multilevel marketing business that promises freedom, wealth, and control of our own lives but most of the time we ended up feeling overwhelmed, tired and stuck in the same place. The problem is not the multilevel marketing company! The problem is that many of us don't know or understand what it means to have our own business or having a job doing something we love.
Some of us believe that our jobs and personal life are separate. I'm sure you have heard a very popular saying "It's not personal. It's just business." That is a pure lie! What we do to make money and our personal lives are integrated. If you are happy or not doing what you do to make money, it would carry out to your personal life. You don't have to believe me, ask your spouse, partner and/or children!
So how do you escape a job or business you hate? You can start by:
• Knowing or being aware of your unique gifts and talents
• Creating a crystal clear vision for the work you were born to do (hint: it won't even feel like work).
• Uncovering hidden challenges that may be sabotaging your success with
transitioning out of your current job and into your dream career or business.
• Not asking for permission!
You need to understand that doing what you love does not mean not having difficulties or obstacles to overcome. Doing what you love means that you are happy, present and having fun more often than not!
I'm going to end with this quote by Chris and Janet Atwood from the Passion Test:
"Whenever you are faced with a choice, a decision, or an opportunity, choose in favor of your passions."
