How To Change Your Hankook Tires When One Goes Flat

Anytime you are driving down the road when one of your Hankook tires suddenly goes flat, it would be in your best interest to know a thing or two about switching out that tire. Unfortunately, there are a lot of drivers on the road these days that have no idea how they would go about changing the tire on their car, but they should be doing everything they can to learn how. In order to help educate some of the folks out there with little to no understanding of how this process works, the biggest details have been written out below.

First things first, if you are going to change a tire, you are going to want to have the proper tools, which are a jack to lift the car, a lug wrench to remove the tire, and a spare tire to replace the bad one. There is virtually no way to determine when a tire is going to blow out or go flat on you, so your only hope of being prepared when the time comes is to keep the required tools in your vehicle at all times, never leaving home without them.

One thing that is particularly important in a situation where you are on the road and your tire goes flat is to not overreact and cause a collision or other kind of accident. In this situation, you have to stay calm and slow down, nice and smooth, and stop in a level place that is as far off the road as you can possibly get.

In order to jack up a car you have to place the jack under a really secure part of the car's frame that is near the flat tire, so get your jack out and do that. Prior to lifting the car, you need to grab your lug wrench and loosen each of the lug nuts without removing them all the way, in case the tire might try to come off on you. Now, just jack up the car, take off all of the lug nuts, pull off whatever is left of the tire that blew out, and put your spare tire in its place.

Next you simply need to go in reverse by putting the nuts back on the studs, lowering the jack until the tire is securely on the ground, and tightening each lug. As long as you can mange those steps, you have what it takes to change your Hankook tires all by yourself.
