Information Day Event At McCarthy & Stone Retirement Living Development In Hamilton

Moving to any new home in later life can be a daunting experience, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding a special Information Day, exclusively for the over 60s, to chat through the benefits of retirement living at its soon-to-open Lauder Court development in Hamilton.

The event, which is taking place on Friday 27th January from 10.00am to 4.00pm at the Hamilton Caledonian Bowling Club on Keith Street, will offer informative 30-minute presentations on retirement living at Lauder Court, and will be an opportunity to get advice from the McCarthy & Stone team.

A 30-minute presentation will run at 10.30am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm and there will be an exclusive and final opportunity for visitors to pre-book an appointment with a Professional Advisor to view the plans and prices for these new-build retirement properties, before release on 1st February 2012.

Details of McCarthy & Stone's unique Moving Experience service will also be available. This offers buyers support throughout the buying process, and a host of benefits including estate agent fees and solicitors' fees all paid, plus a de-cluttering and removal service which includes packing and unpacking.

Suzanne McElhiney, marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone in Scotland, comments: "Moving house is stressful at any time of life but even more so as you get older. It is important to have as much information as possible at your fingertips to ensure you make the right decision for you. Our Information Day will give visitors the opportunity to find out about the benefits of retirement living at Lauder Court ahead of our official sales launch on 1st February 2012. On-site facilities will include a central lounge for recreation and social events, a lift to access all properties, a laundry room and a guest suite for friends and family who visit. There will also be a 24-hour personal emergency service, as well as a TV security system monitoring the main entrance. A house manager will be responsible for daily management of gardeners, window-cleaners and maintenance staff, as well as acting as a good neighbour and helping to organise social events.
