5 MLM Prospecting Tips

Have An I Will Until Attitude

No one starts out being top dog in their mlm business. Everyone had to start somewhere, even the leaders in your company. You have to look at your mlm career as a long term investment. Having an I will until attitude means you will not quit. You will stick with it at least until you hit your goals.

Prospecting Is A Skill That No One Is Born With

No one is born being an mlm prospecting genius. It takes time to develop any skill. So go easy on yourself. Don't look at what other people have and be envious. It took time for them to get where they are, even if it looks to you like it happened overnight!

Mastering Prospecting Is What's Going To Make You Money In The Long-Term

Being a master prospector is the thing that will make you money in the long-term. In order to master this skill you have to practice, just like with anything else. A big part of prospecting is being on the phone. An easy way to tell why you are not where you want to be in your business is to assess how much time you spend on the phone each day for your business. Phone time could be calling leads that you bought or that have opted in to your site. It could be 3 way calls or even talking to your warm market. If you are not on the phone on a consistent basis prospecting for your business, then you are probably not making any money.

Every No Gets You Closer To A Yes

I know you have probably heard this before, but its true. The more people you talk to the more no's you will get. On The flip side, the more yes's you will get. The phone for most of us is a scary thing. Understand that you are not alone in feeling this way. The key is that you have to do it anyway, if you want to be successful in this industry. Just as with riding a bike or learning how to drive, once you do it so much it gets easier. The same will happen with your phone skills, if you keep at it.

Don't Take It Personal

A big part of being successful with your mlm prospecting is to not take no's personally. Know that when people tell you no, they are not telling you no they are saying no to your business. A no to your business can sometimes mean not right now. If we remember that every no you get gets you closer to a yes you should actually be excited when someone tells you no!

If I could leave you with just one piece of information it would be, to get out there and get it done. Don't worry about being an expert or inexperienced. If you keep at it long enough, one day you'll be the expert.
