Auto responders can do a lot to support an affiliate marketing campaign. They can not only deepen and strengthen the engagement from readers, but will also drive traffic and increase income. Today I'm going to share with you some of the successful strategies that I use with my auto-responder emails.
Offer a free course. This of course would be delivered over a period of time, determined by yourself. An excellent example of this 31 Days to Build a Better Blog that Darren Rowse used as an incentive to subscribers. He eventually rewrote the content into an ebook and make an income from that too.
Offer a paid course. This might be something like the 365 part series that Chris Guillebeau created for his subscribers. It was a huge challenge to take on - but he had major financial success with it. Kudos to him.
Send out your top posts. Many readers of blogs don't ever come across the older posts. You can breathe some new life into them by sending them out on your auto responder. Another approach is to send out a compilation of top posts on any particular topic with links through to your posts.
Promote your affiliate products. Of course, you must promote your affiliate marketing products, but you don't want to make this the main focus of your auto-responder series.
Promote your product on a schedule. As auto-responders are easy to set just as you wish them to be, how about trying this. Set your seventh day auto-responder email to promote one of your products with a discount. This way, everytime somebody signs up - you have got a good chance of making a sale on that seventh day.
Use the upsell technique. Try this for size. Everytime somebody makes a purchase from you, then you respond with an offer for another product. There are so many products in the affiliate marketing world, that you are bound to find one that is suitable.
Send out case studies. This can be a story about how somebody bought one of your products and the experience that they had. How your product helped them with their issue. You may have to contact the vendor if there isn't anybody you can approach directly for this.
Tips and advice. I was recently informed about a hotel who collected email addresses from their customers with the offer of a free recipe being sent to them. The hotelier gained some great repeat business from using this technique. With a bit of creativity and imagination it can be applied to affiliate marketing too.
