The Next Level for Motivational Posters

They say, in business, that you are only as good as the people around you and the adage often proves itself to be totally correct. A motivated, inspired and creative workforce can create miracles in business and you only have to look to companies such as Apple for contemporary proof of just that.

The late Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, was infamous for his ability to motivate staff and have a working environment that kept people highly motivated and inspired to drive towards company success. This attitude towards the working environment worked so effectively that Apple became one of the World's largest and most profitable companies.

Unfortunately we cannot all afford to hire the likes of Steve Jobs or have deep enough pockets to create such an environment with such a precision, but for many, many years plenty of business leaders, managers and directors have all made their own small attempts with the use of motivational posters.

Motivational posters in their current form have been with us for a good few decades now but really became the "in-thing" in the boom of the 1980's. All of sudden lunch was for losers and it was all about driving business forward with a positive mental attitude, heaps of enthusiasm and bundles of motivation. This was reflected on the walls of offices with large inspirational pictures with motivational messages printed across the bottom. It was all the rage and many could argue that they really did work considering the level of prosperity developed during this period.

However, since then the motivational poster has become rather tired. It is not that the message doesn't necessarily work but more the fact that the motivational poster has not evolved or changed with time. Indeed it is still easy to walk into an office today and see a copy of the same motivational posters that were being sold in the 1980's.

Walk into 20 different offices that use motivational posters and you will notice that at least 50% of them share exactly the same poster. This quickly waters down the message and turns the whole concept into something that is actually seen as a bit cheap and cheesy rather than a message that can truly be taken in and utilised. This obviously completely destroys the whole point behind motivational posters.

Times are changing though. The digital camera has exploded onto the market, allowing a flood of fantastic photographs that can be totally unique and targeted. The advent of technology with more powerful computers and websites that can utilise this now allow for motivational poster sites which effectively allow you to create your own individual motivational posters.

No longer are you left with the more stock of the same 12 pictures and slogans circling the business world just to be ignored. There is now the fresh new ability to choose from literally millions of different photos and to put on your own inspirational or motivational message. The combination of the right picture and well chosen words DOES really work. Now that the ability has come around to take the motivational poster to the next level it is time to start to embrace it again and enjoy the benefits!
