Five Basic Steps In Making A Custom Disk Sleeve

There are just five ways in creating your disk sleeves. It begins by getting ready the material for your customized disk sleeve, followed by developing the horizontal folds, then the vertical folds, next is developing the last folds, and lastly is making a design on your personalized disk sleeves.

Just like our other belongings, we like to keep our assortment of disks safe and organized inside large floppy disk storage, or something similar. However, if the number of disks grows, room for storage also decreases. Because typical CD cases take up a lot of space, you can retrieve more than half of that space by designing a custom sleeve for your disks. You may even add styles on the sleeves, if you need to. Read through this article to know the steps in making disk sleeves.

Prepare Customized Disk Sleeve Materials

The very first thing you will do in creating your own customized CD sleeve is to get an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of paper.

Create the Horizontal Folds

Position the disk over the piece of paper with its centre hole aligned at the middle of the top edge of the paper. Next, fold down the paper horizontally on the ends of the disk in order that all its ends are evenly folded over by the paper. Continue doing so till the entire paper is folded down.

Develop the Vertical Folds

Put the disk on the folded paper at its centre, as well as on top of the folds. Next, fold the edges of the paper vertically on top of the disk's bottom and top edges, making an overlap on the front of the disk. You should be able to have folds on each side that go above the disk's middle hole. This could develop on the paper three vertical divisions.

Make the Final Folds

Slide in the disk in either of the paper's two base sections, but not over and above the first section towards the middle division of the paper. Then, fold up the bottom section with the disk inside, therefore the partly open back of the disk would be covered by the center part. Next, have the folded top part inserted to the bottom level, where the Cd is located, to completely enclose the CD inside the sleeve.

Make a Disk Sleeve Style

Create a design of your choice on the compact disk sleeve's front, maybe something which will fit the compact disk inside. You may either make a drawing or write something directly on the sleeve. Or even affix a photo on the front of the sleeve.

It is important that we take good care of our belongings as best as we could. However, if we could find a way to keep down their size and not make them cluttered, we will be able to value them much more. This is especially applicable when we are living inside a limited space.
