I love the phrase, " I am living the American dream". When things are going good this really does apply to making money at home. When things are going bad it becomes more like "I'm living a American nightmare"!
I suppose that's true for people who have a job as well. In this economy if you are actually working you should be thankful. If you're not working you should think about starting your own home business.
No matter how depressing it can get the Internet does offer many excellent opportunities. The biggest way to overcome depression in an Internet home business is to actually accomplish something.
I am fortunate in that I have made money every month that I've been online. That is saying something since I've been doing this since 2002.
Initially I spent most of my time focusing on building an email list. This is a good way to overcome depression with your business because it's a measurable result.
That simply means you can see progress the minute it happens. It's very motivating to see the size of your list grow.
Doing simple things like taking paid surveys is another way to overcome home business depression. You may not make a real good hourly rate, but you are going to see money coming in every day.
I like to get paid instantly when I make money from home. This is another excellent way to stay motivated.
Get yourself a PayPal account and find ways to get money deposited into it every day. A couple of ideas that work very well are writing blog articles for other bloggers, and promoting instant pay affiliate products.
One other thing is very helpful is to go to Internet marketing discussion forums. Look at some of the people who are having success and analyze what they are doing.
The Warrior Forum is very good for this. The minute somebody has success it is human nature for them to want to tell everybody about it. This can become a good source of free Internet marketing training if you use it correctly.
What you don't want to do is go to the discussion forum and start whining about how tough things are. In the Warrior Forum people will pick you apart very quickly. This is a place to go and be positive.
These are a few tips that might help you if you are depressed about your online home business! I personally don't have this problem very often, but I can see where people who are struggling could.
