What I find interesting is how many of the really big Internet marketers are not involved with well known companies. When I say a well known companies I am talking about companies that have been around for a long time such as Avon, Amway, Herbalife, Tupperware, and Mary Kay.
These are billion dollar companies that offer business opportunities to anyone who wants to get involved with them. There are actually 2 ways you could join companies such as this and make money.
1. Sell their products. This is what direct sales companies are known for.
Once you get set up as a distributor you can go out and make money selling products directly to the public. People who do not view themselves as salespeople sometimes avoid companies like this because it's not their cup of tea.
The big change today is you can use the Internet to handle a lot of your selling. If you do not want to deal directly with the public you don't have to.
For example, Avon is the largest direct selling company in the world with over $11 billion a year in sales. The old adage that the Avon lady is ringing your doorbell does not apply anymore.
You can still deal directly with the public if you want to, but erepresentatives make a lot of money selling Avon online. The same thing is true with most of the other direct sales companies.
There's plenty of markup in the product for you to earn a good commission on every sale you make. The majority of these products are basic commodity items that are used up and need to be reordered so you've always got repeat business.
2. Recruit distributors. In a direct sales company you can recruit personal distributors and make money on their purchases and sales.
Some companies such as Amway have a network marketing compensation plan where you earn money on purchases and sales of people several levels deep. If you enjoy recruiting this can be a very profitable way to make money with a well known company.
When you log online and look at ideas to make money you should consider established companies. These companies have a proven track record of providing quality products, and paying out commissions every month to performers who want to work at making money.
