She usually keeps the look secret from most of the party, and only her mother or someone very close will have the privilege of seeing her dressed before the big day. The fittings for the clothes, particularly for the ladies, will be done about one week or so before the event. Ladies are notorious for losing or adding weight before the big day so this last fitting is a must if calamities are to be avoided. Even little ones can sprout an inch or two so ensure that, if the outfits are being handmade, some hems are left large to counteract any growth.
