Landscape Architecture Designs In Thailand

Thailand, sometimes called the "golden land" is home of fertile rice fields, white sandy beaches, and breathtaking landscapes. And by landscapes I am referring to everything that comprises the visible features of an area of land. One of the great features that can be found in Thailand are the landscape architecture designs. This is one of the things that sets this country apart from the rest and is probably why a lot of people love visiting Thailand.

Landscape architecture designing is in fact regarded as a profession in Thailand. It is a growing industry of the country and more Thais' are getting into it. However, not everyone can do this, there are qualifications to be met and people who are qualified have to reach the standards that the field requires. This is something that can't be done lightly, after all you will be the one designing the landscapes which the country boasts.

For those people who would want to partake in this particular field, there are actually two universities in Thailand that offer a bachelor's degree under the course landscape design. Chulalongkorn University is one of the universities that offer such study and the other is Thammasart University. With both of the universities combined there are more or less 100 post graduates that are qualified yearly. This just shows how much the country is dedicated in beautifying their landscapes. This might not be much for now but it is a necessary step in enhancing the landscape architecture business of the country.

In Bangkok, there are a lot of firms that offer landscaping related work which gives people the opportunity to showcase their talents and what they have worked hard for in school. There are also independent landscape architects who do the same thing. All of them have the same purpose of applying their skills in making the country look better in terms of its landscaping. There are also associations which maintain landscaping standards to ensure all the work done doesn't violate anything. The Thai government is also making an effort in tying up with firms and architects in helping with the development and landscaping of certain projects. This includes creation of highways, city establishing and airport conceptualization. There are also minor projects such as landscaping yards and gardens for residences, these includes adding decors such as bamboo fountains and garden planters. As more projects come up, there will be more opportunities for landscape architects.

Thailand is slowly improving their landscape architecture designs and it probably wouldn't be long till they become of the world's frontrunners in this industry. With their beautiful landscapes to work with, the possibilities are endless for their landscape architects. This can be done in other countries as well, Thailand is merely setting the benchmark for the landscaping industry.
