The first thing that many people would likely think of to do with an old, used tire is to grab some rope and turn it into a tire swing for their kids or other neighborhood children to play on. Hanging up a tire swing is as easy as locating a strong tree with a branch that is low enough to throw a rope over, and anyone who doesn't have a tree can simply grab some wood and build a frame to support the swing. As long as you can find a sweet place to hang your swing, making it is as simple as tying a strong piece of rope between the branch or beam and the tire that the children will be sitting in.
Believe it or not, there are actually some playgrounds that are made of nothing more than a bunch of recycled tires and provide kids with tons of great things to play on. You could use tires to build things like swings and bridges on your playground, or you could just use them to provide padding and protection on an existing playground.
If you someone that has a bit of a green thumb, you might consider the idea of painting each tire whatever color you like and using them as planters to safely plant your loveliest flowers and plants in. This is a rather easy thing to do, because all you have to do is pick out whatever color you like, paint the tire and allow it to dry, and then add enough potting soil to the center of the tire to plant the flowers in.
If you manage to dig up enough old tires, you could use them to create a very unique border around your yard by cutting them in half and burying them in a row. With a high quality set of Yokohama tires, it's hard not to think of ways to get just a little more worth out of them, even after you've driven them for their very last mile.
