How Do Affiliate Marketers Get Paid?

Affiliate marketing is such a tremendous business model that it makes it almost impossible for you not to make money. When you join an affiliate program you are going to get products to promote, marketing materials to promote with, and commissions on completing the required actions.

If you are selling a product the merchant will collect the money and ship the product for you. If you're getting paid by the click Google Adsense will sell all the ads for you. If you are getting paid by the lead the affiliate merchant will give you the form to promote.

That makes affiliate marketing an excellent way to make money online. Of course the hardest part is getting traffic to your website and that is why most people fail.

In all the years I have been promoting my make money online website, the number one question I continue to get is how will I get paid. There are numerous ways to get paid with affiliate marketing, but here are four of the most common.

1. PayPal. This is the largest payment processor on the Internet today. They are owned by eBay and process millions of dollars in online payments every day.

Affiliate merchants use PayPal because of how easy it is to process affiliate commissions. All you need is a PayPal email that is tied to a checking or savings account and you can get paid.

2. Direct depost. For several years now ClickBank has been sending affiliate commissions out every week via direct deposit. If you set up to receive your payments this way it is great because you will automatically receive your money without going to the bank.

3. Check. Google still pays affiliate commissions every month with a check. Other affiliate programs offer checks as an option, but many would prefer to use another online method.

4. Alert Pay. This is an alternative to PayPal. Some affiliate programs offer this as an option and it's not a bad idea to get set up with it in case you need it.

One final thing to mention is you can set up your own payment buttons using PayPal very easily. If you are going to promote any instant pay program this is nice because you get your commissions the minute the transaction is processed.
